Even in case you don’t know much about fire signs, likelihood is you already know if you’ve got one in your life. That’s since the three fire signs—Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius—are very like their ruling element; they’re vivid, they shine, they draw attention…but in addition they can burn. Thankfully, Tali Edut, one half of The AstroTwins, the official astrologers for ELLE, is willing to guide us through their flame-filled world. Grab your sunglasses, and keep scrolling.
Fire Sign Dates
Aries: March 21–April 19
Leo: July 23–August 22
Sagittarius: November 22–December 21
Fire Sign Traits
The nice: Fire signs are passionate, creative, playful, and unafraid to be the primary. “They get things energized,” Edut says. “They convey heat and light, they usually get everybody inspired.” Then again, they will also be destructive, inconsiderate, and selfish. “They don’t all the time know their lane and may bulldoze people. They may be super dramatic and all the time have to be the focus, and it will probably be exhausting. Cough, Leo.”
If you’ve got a hearth sign to your sun sign…
…your essence is a fiery personality. “You’re going to be warm and independent and excitable and passionate,” Edut says. “Even in case you don’t show it, that’s who you might be left to your personal devices.”
If you’ve got a hearth sign to your rising sign…
…you outwardly exude a take-charge, flamboyant energy. “It might be covering up another things,” Edut explains. “But that’s the way you’ll read [to others].”
If you’ve got a hearth sign to your moon sign…
…your emotions tackle a fiery temperament. “You might be quick to react, quick to take things personally, quick to fall in love,” she says. “You get excited fast, and also you burn out fast, and your feelings can definitely blaze up after which die out quickly. There’s a whole lot of passion there.”
Fire Sign Compatibility
As for which signs play well with fire, air signs are the simplest match. “There’s a friendly dynamic between them,” Edut says, though fire and water generally is a passionate combo. “It might probably get really steamy, but they may put one another out. Water likes to go deep, and fire is blazing hot, so it will probably be tricky.” Fire signs may scare earth signs with their intensity. “Fire can definitely burn out earth, and earth can put an excessive amount of structure in for fire.”
Now let’s get into each individual sign. First up, is Aries, the cardinal fire sign, a.k.a. the final word leader. Living proof: Aries are the primary sign of the Zodiac. “They’re ahead of the curve with every part,” Edut says. “They’re supremely confident. They’re not attempting to be original, but they’re just natural trailblazers.”
Leos are the fixed fire signs and the nurturing ones who hold all of it down. “They’re natural leaders but in a really responsible way,” Edut says. “Leo’s are the kings and queens of, that is my realm. I’m taking good care of it.”
Last but not least is the mutable fire sign: Sagittarius. These folks are our world travelers, our big thinkers, and their fire spreads far and wide. “They’re here. They’re there. They’re in every single place,” she explains. “They’re the ambassadors who exit and get big ideas from all around the world and share them with everyone.”
The role a hearth sign plays in a friend group?
Edut: They’re those who all the time have the fun idea. “Hey, why don’t all of us go to Paris?” They get everybody out to play.
A perfect time without work for a hearth sign?
Edut: A perfect time without work for a hearth sign is one where it’s warm enough to go outside and take in whatever it’s. They have to be free to roam, no obligations, nobody they should call or answer to, where they’ll just exit and really meet latest people and see pretty, sparkly things.
What’s the following hobby a hearth sign should try?
Edut: An art medium like painting or sculpture. Something where they’ll get really messy and put their hands into it and have a full-bodied artistic experience.
