Irina Shayk sparked rumors that she and Bradley Cooper, her ex-boyfriend and father to their five-year-old daughter Lea, could also be giving their romance one other shot when she posted a photograph of the 2 of them posing on a beach vacation. Shortly after, a source set the record straight to E! regarding what’s really happening between them.
While Shayk didn’t comment on their relationship status herself, a source told E! that no, Shayk and Cooper aren’t currently dating. “They’re co-parenting and get along well for the sake of their daughter,” the source said. “They do things as a family and it’s going well.” Cooper was last reported be dating Huma Abedin at the tip of July. Shayk, meanwhile, was briefly linked to Kanye West in summer 2021.
Shayk spoke to ELLE in March 2021 about Cooper and why she keeps details of their relationship private. “I never understood the term co-parenting,”she began when asked about their relationship then. “Once I’m with my daughter, I’m 100% a mother, and when she’s along with her dad, he’s 100% her dad. Co-parenting is parenting.”
“My past relationship, it’s something that belongs to me, and it’s private,” she said of her and Cooper’s time together romantically. “It’s just a chunk of my inner self that I don’t want to present away.”
In regard to tabloid coverage of her, “I don’t read what’s on the market,” she added. “Truthfully, I’m too busy raising a toddler. In the event that they want to write down articles [about me], they’re doing their job. I’m concentrating on my life and my friends. The remaining is just noise.”
