Selena Gomez’s longtime close friend Taylor Swift was front and center on the 2023 Grammys last night with Beyoncé, Adele, and more. But Gomez herself was removed from the ceremony, and let the web know she had a really nice evening too. Gomez shared photos of herself out at dinner with good friends Nicola Peltz Beckham, Ashley Cook, and more. Gomez shared the post with no caption.
Peltz Beckham commented on it, “I really like you a lot 💘”
Over 1.8 million people liked the IG during its first 11 hours up.
Gomez clarified to ELLE in September 2021 that she still appears like she is attempting to prove herself within the music space, but has no intention of leaving the industry.
“I don’t think I’ll ever quit making music,” she began, before touching on why she feels she still isn’t established enough. “I’m not saying I need a Grammy. I just feel like I’m doing the most effective I can, and it’s all about me. Sometimes, that may really get to me.” Music, unlike acting, is so personal, she stressed: “You’re pouring yourself out.”
Gomez didn’t have any Grammy nominations this 12 months. But that might change at next 12 months’s ceremony. She has teased she’ll be releasing recent music this 12 months. In November, she told Zane Lowe in an Apple TV+ interview that her songs would tell stories about parts of her life her fans haven’t seen.
“I created this whole private life that was just mine, and I feel like now I actually have to inform these stories, and persons are going to ask lots of questions,” Gomez said, adding that there can be stories about dating included in there, too.
