When deciding to take a position in a latest smartphone, most individuals need to be certain that that the device they’re buying can withstand the damage and tear of each day use. Unfortunately, it looks just like the Google Pixel 7 Pro may not fare too well in the long term.
A recent durability test video posted by YouTuber JerryRigEverything showed that there are two major problems that Pixel 7 Pro owners might need to take note over the device’s lifespan: the poor durability of the camera bar, and the way easily the phone’s frame can bend.

By scratching it in multiple areas with a boxcutter, the sturdiness test pushes the Pixel 7 Pro much further than most phones would encounter in on a regular basis use. But when it comes time to check the camera bar, it isn’t able to resist much. When scratched with on a regular basis items that a phone may are available contact with — like keys or coins — the camera bar took some visible damage after only just a few seconds of contact.
Seeing these results, it looks like the Pixel 7 Pro might look pretty distressed and beat up after only just a few months. Obviously, the mileage that different device owners could have will vary, however it looks like the camera bar may find yourself looking a little bit worse for wear pretty quickly unless protected by a case or other protector.
Google Pixel 7 Pro – the large ‘bump’ has just a few big problems….
The opposite potentially worrying discovery that the test delivered to light is how easy it’s to bend the Pixel 7 Pro’s frame on the antenna line. When putting pressure on the phone’s back, it seems to flex pretty dramatically slightly below the camera bar. It’s capable of be bent back in the final shape that it was before, but following the primary bend, the Pixel 7 Pro seems to look quite a bit looser and willing to rebend underneath the camera bar again.
Overall, the Pixel 7 Pro can have quite a bit going for it in terms of its software, but by way of its hardware durability, the phone leaves quite a bit to be desired. This isn’t to say that the Pixel 7 Pro is flimsy, because it stands as much as loads of other scratch testing on the display, but somewhat that buyers should consider keeping it protected in a case. Luckily, there are already loads of Pixel 7 Pro cases to pick from, allowing you to maintain your phone protected without spending an arm and a leg.
