Kim Kardashian shares 4 children together with her ex husband Kanye West, nine-year-old North, seven-year-old Saint, five-year-old Chicago, and four-year-old Psalm. The SKIMS founder appears on an upcoming episode of the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast and in a clip shared with People, she discuses how becoming a single parent has modified her life.
“Everyone says the times are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be like a more true statement,” Kardashian says about parenting. “So, like, whenever you’re in it, I mean, especially once they’re babies and also you’re feeding … there’s madness happening. It’s like full madness. It’s the most effective chaos though.”
She added, “It’s like I all the time should do one among my daughter’s hair — and it needs to be perfect and it needs to be a certain way — after which this one needs me to place his shoes on and so they all need you. It’s like full crazy madness, cooking, running around. Like, it’s wild.”
Besides the chaos, The Kardashians’ star admitted that “parenting is the thing that has taught me probably the most about myself.”
She explained,“It has been probably the most difficult thing. There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy shit, this f—ing tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?”
Kardashian added that sometimes the children have “moods” and “personalities” or “sometimes they’re fighting” and backbone is left entirely to her.
“Like, it’s [just] me to play good police officer and bad cop,” she said. “Parenting is de facto f—ing hard….That is the only way I can describe it. It’s probably the most rewarding job in all the world. It’s. There may be nothing that may prepare you. I do not care how long you wait. I do not care what you are waiting for. You might be never prepared.”
She does also say that “you’ll figure it out” and it “will make you so happy with yourself.”
Kardashian went on to stipulate how a tantrum can turn the household the other way up.
“I mean, there’s nights whenever you don’t wash your hair for days as a mom and you will have spit up throughout you and also you’re wearing the identical pajamas, especially in COVID,” Kardashian said. “It was insane, ?”
But parenting continues to be “probably the most difficult, rewarding job on this planet,” in response to the wonder mogul.
