Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck just celebrated their first Christmas together as a married couple and J.Lo shared the intimate details of their holiday season On The J.Lo newsletter with all of her fans.
“I have been hunkering down at home (and loving it) since I wrapped my last movie, just preparing for the vacations!” J.Lo wrote. She added that she themed her song around hummingbirds to honor the track on her latest album This Is Me…Now named after the bird.
“To me, hummingbirds are messengers of affection,“ she explained. “They’re also the fastest bird but they all the time have time to stop, eat something sweet and smell the roses. I discover with them, but greater than anything, each time I see one, I feel prefer it’s an indication from God that all the pieces goes to be OK.”
She continued, “So, I made a decision this 12 months that the hummingbird could be an ideal theme. We’ve blended families, doubled the people, doubled the fun, doubled the love, doubled the presents and tripled the chaos!!”
The blended family includes her 14-year-old twins Emme and Max, and Affleck’s children Violet, 17, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.
She decorated her tree with a hummingbird theme as well and says she selected her vivid blue and red dress since it made her consider the jeweled feathers of the species.
“It is a Gucci dress that I’ve had in my closet which I purchased a 12 months ago and I have been waiting for the right occasion to wear,” J.Lo explained. “I believed it was perfect for our Hummingbird Christmas Party.”
The Marry Me star added that she wanted the theme to remind everyone “that all the pieces done in love and with love will all the time be OK.”
