
On July 16, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had a really private, whirlwind wedding in Las Vegas before jetting off to Paris for a honeymoon that doubled as a family vacation and work time for J.Lo. But that is not the top of their celebration. Based on sources talking to Page Six, the newlyweds have hired a luxury event planner named Colin Cowie to assist them plan a much larger event.
Cowie has a business with headquarters in Recent York and Los Angeles and is understood for parties he’s thrown for large name celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, Jerry Seinfeld, Michael Jordan, Nicole Kidman. He has also worked with Lopez before, so she clearly feels comfortable working with the entertainment specialist.
His business guarantees clients “a royal wedding of epic proportions [to] essentially the most glamorous, sophisticated and tasteful backyard wedding” and he works with budgets “starting from $25,000 to $25 million.”
One other source shared a rumor that the marriage event would go over several days and include “everyone they love but couldn’t invite” to Vegas in a celebration at St. Simons Island just off the Georgia coast. The island has plenty of gorgeous beaches in addition to a famous lighthouse. Some individuals who is perhaps invited include Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Drea de Matteo, who starred with Lopez in Shades of Blue.
For his or her legal wedding, the couple went to the famous “A Little White Chapel” with two of their kids, J.Lo’s Emme and Affleck’s Seraphina. Lopez shared some info in regards to the ceremony in her newsletter, writing, “Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with 4 other couples, all making the identical journey to the marriage capital of the world…We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight. They graciously stayed open late a couple of minutes, allow us to take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once utilized by the king himself (but when we wanted Elvis himself to point out, that cost extra and he was in bed).”
She added, “In the long run it was the perfect possible wedding we could have imagined.”
