How Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s Relationship Has Modified Since Getting Married Over 2 Months Ago
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s latest chapter as husband and wife officially began in July with the couple’s surprise Las Vegas wedding. The 2 later wed again in August, in front of family and friends at Affleck’s Georgia estate. They’ve kept a lower profile since.
Nearly three months from their legal wedding day, a source gave Us Weekly an update on the newlyweds’ dynamic and the way tying the knot has—and hasn’t—modified things between them.
“Ben and Jen are still of their honeymoon phase,” one source said. “They’re very head over heels for one another.”
Apparently marriage just made it legal. “Becoming husband and wife hasn’t modified their relationship much, apart from the undeniable fact that it solidified what that they had,” the source said. “They’re homes to buy together and hoping to seek out one they’re each completely happy with. It’s been an ongoing process.”
Affleck has also been a supportive husband while Lopez has been filming a latest project. The couple each has children from their previous marriages, with Affleck actively taking good care of them. Lopez has 14-year-old twins Emme and Max with Marc Anthony, while Affleck shares 16-year-old Violet, 13-year-old Seraphina, and 10-year-old Sam with Jennifer Garner.
“Jen is difficult at work filming, and Ben has been taking up daddy duty and helping out with the youngsters so much,” the source said. “She adores the undeniable fact that he’s such an awesome father and she will be able to at all times depend on him. He’s been very supportive of her and has visited her on set, which she loves.”
Lopez hasn’t shared far more from her wedding, but in early September, she detailed how she felt on the Georgia ceremony, exchanging vows with Affleck in front of their family members. In her On the JLo newsletter, she wrote, “At long-last, I began my walk down the steps that may turn into the aisle that may lead me toward the remainder of my life. Ahhhhh…it was actually happening…”
“Ben and I talked about Marc Cohn’s ‘True Companion’ as the right wedding love song on this very house greater than twenty years ago,” she continued, referring to Affleck’s Georgia home. “Though Ben didn’t know, I asked Marc to surprise him by singing it at our wedding and he was lovely and generous to come back.
