One bride, one design house, three wedding dresses: Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Lauren confirmed today the rumors that she did indeed wear the brand to her Georgia wedding to Ben Affleck. Lopez shared on her On the JLo newsletter that she didn’t wear only one couture dress, but multiple from Ralph Lauren. Now, Ralph Lauren has released photos detailing her foremost ceremony dress’s making, together with sketches of all three dresses worn.

Ralph Lauren also broke down the small print of every dress, the materials used for it, and its inspiration. For the foremost ceremony dress, āthe handkerchief wedding gown reimagines a turtleneck column dress with the addition of a dramatic ruffle hem,ā the home shared in a press release. āOver 1000 hand-cut handkerchiefs and 500 meters of material were cut into ruffles and attached by hand, making a voluminous, romantic skirt. The intricately constructed sleeve is inset with a cascading ruffle, draped from the back of the turtleneck to the shoulder to create a romantic, heritage-inspired sensibility.ā
Post-ceremony, Lopez wore two other dresses, a āchandelier pearl gown…adorned with 1000’s of cascading strings of pearls,ā and a āa sleek mermaid silhouette with a keyhole neckline embellished with Swarovski crystals of various shapes and shades of white and is accomplished with a full skirt and topped with an organza overlay.ā The second dress had 30 people working on it over 700 hours āat hand embroider the robe with micro-pleats of silk tulle, tiny pearl embellishments, and Swarovski crystal,ā Ralph Lauren shared.
Lopez shared first look photos of her in each dress in her newsletter, promising she would share more soon.
