Anya Taylor-Joy is putting a cultured yet flirty spin on awards show style. Just days after she kicked off the season in an attention-grabbing, ab-baring yellow bandeau and skirt on the Golden Globes, Taylor-Joy arrived at tonight’s Critics Alternative Awards in Los Angeles in one other provocative look: a nude Dior Haute Couture A-line dress with strass embellishment. The Menu actress had her platinum hair styled up in a sublime top knot and wore Dior Beauty makeup. She accessorized with over 20 carats of Tiffany & Co. diamonds. Taylor-Joy posed solo on the red carpet and likewise along with her partner Malcolm McRae, who attended the Golden Globes along with her, too. Taylor-Joy was a presenter during tonight’s show.
Taylor-Joy spoke to USA Today in November slightly about her downtime with McRae and her go-to comfort movie. âAlmost Famous is like my âfeel higher in regards to the worldâ film,â she said. âI feel so, so bad for my partnerâhe’d never seen it and we put it on, and I couldn’t help it. I stood next to the tv and performed the whole film. I comprehend it so well. He had to observe it by himself without me the subsequent day in order that it was an actually enjoyable experience.â
She also touched on her character Margot from The Menu’s style and the way she can have incorporated slightly an excessive amount of of herself into it. âI based Margot’s whole look on this movie off what I used to wear after I was 18: the nail color, the undeniable fact that it’s all chipped, the lipstick color, the whole lot,â she said. âSo I went out to dinner with a friend of mine the opposite night and she or he’s like, âWhy are you dressed like your character from The Menu?â It’s like, âOh god, I gave her my identity! What do I do now!â Unintentionally, I feel sometimes I give characters an excessive amount of of myself, after which it will possibly appear to be cosplay.â
