Charlie Gooch is a photographer based in South London.
Gooch, who goes by Guy Gooch professionally, described himself simply on his photography site as a âphotographer and filmmaker living and dealing in South London.â His website and Instagram showcase his work, and he keeps his online presence minimal beyond his photography.
Gooch photographed Pugh way back in June 2021, hinting they were friends first.
At that time, Pugh was still dating Zach Braff.
Gooch shared multiple photos of Pugh on his Instagram in June 2021 during her Black Widow press tour, suggesting their friendship began years back.
âShot Florence Pugh as a part of her upcoming film Black Widow! Super excited to be a part of this journey :),â he captioned his first shot that Pugh liked on June 3, 2021.

Gooch and Pugh were first photographed out together in early December 2022.
Page Six noted that Pugh and Gooch were first seen together in December 2022, partying after she attended the British Fashion Awards. Day by day Mail ran photos of them leaving her hotel the morning after, describing Gooch within the headline because the âfriendâ she left with.
Gooch and Pugh sparked romantic rumors in February 2023.
The 2 were seen holding hands on Valentine’s Day 2023 (see one other photo from that outing above), and the photo agency noted they were wearing matching bands on their ring fingers. Neither commented on the connection speculation. Pugh did mention she recently got a spot in South London, where Gooch also lives, during a January 2023 interview with Vogue.
âItâs all very latest,â she said, referring to her breakup with Zach Braff, which she announced in August 2022. âMy breakup has been very latest, so Iâm figuring that out [whether I’ll get my own place in Los Angeles, too].â
Pugh selected South London because several of her secondary school friends live there. âYou already know, you could have a daydream whenever you start out: What’s it meaning youâve made it? What’s it meaning you’re an adult? And for me it was: You reside near your folks and you could have an area pub,â she said. âAnd since I didnât do this after I was young, because I didnât go to school, it meant that for all of my adult years of working and my adult years living abroad, I still, in my mind, hadnât got all of the pieces together.â
